Hello,

When you write a blog with say blogger or wordpress, there is also a section for tagging the article. Where do those tags go exactly and how are they valuable in terms of seo? How does it work?

Tag cloud play very important role in SEO. It can also enhance your site look rather than a long label widget.

Some of the advantages of using TAG CLOUD

1. Gives readers a clue as what your site mainly focuses. When a reader scans your tag cloud he gets an idea as what your blog is and on what it focuses.

2. Easy Navigation of posts for your readers. Sometime a tag can capture reader and drive him directly to that post.

3. Tag cloud helps in indexing the pages and thus helps in ranking. Tag cloud is a bunch of keywords in your blog posts, which will help google to understand your site better. Heres what hummer parts has to say about it

"Tag Clouds is created for usability purposes but it is also a powerful weapon for search engine optimization. That's because tagging allows you to organize your internal hierarchical linking structure, flowing the link juice more strategically throughout your site. And because those link tags are textual and keyword-rich, a tag cloud is more advantageous to use in terms of SEO against traditional navigation bar."

4.Gives a great look to your design. Seriously when you look at your website with tag cloud with bunch of keywords spread around some small some big, it captures me. I feel to have a look at it, don't you?

5. As a Blogger it gives you feedback. Looking at your Tag cloud you can easily say which part you are concentrating more, which keywords are used more.
